Nathan Richardsson has left the Trion building, and Chris Lena has stepped up to become the new Executive Producer of Defiance. Earlier this week he issued a developer’s letter aimed to to introduce himself to the community, state the team’s awareness regarding continued issues players are experiencing in-game, and talk a bit about the future of Defiance.
Despite the delays of the game’s first DLC release date and the setbacks regarding past patches and bug fixes, Trion plans on charging onward and finally releasing DLC 1 sometime during August. They also still plan on releasing all five DLC packs within the game’s first year, which seems like a lofty goal to many, but will inevitably please fans if they follow through with that goal. No exact date is known yet for the first DLC pack, although that announcement may be coming soon from the looks of it.
With the Defiance television show off the air until the next seasons begins, some Defiance players are understandably feeling a little restless. Will the release of the first DLC curb that restlessness? It’s hard to say at this point, but the Trion Defiance team definitely has their work cut out for them.
What do you think about the delay of the first DLC pack? Has it changed your opinion of the game at all?
